Actual usage · not window focus

Track your real AI coding time.
Then prove it.

You say you live in Cursor and Claude Code. ShipOrShame reads the logs on your machine, counts the sessions you actually ran, and turns them into a streak, a share card, and a public rank. Leaving the editor open all day counts for nothing.

Free forever. Aggregates only — we never upload your prompts, diffs, or source.

What counts

Stop guessing how much you actually use AI.

Your dock says you're busy. Your logs disagree. ShipOrShame settles it by reading events, not window focus.

Doesn't count

  • Cursor open in the dock. You launched it. That's not work.
  • Claude Code idle in tmux. A running process is not a session.
  • Forty-seven Composer tabs. Unsent drafts earn you nothing.
  • "AI-native" in your bio. We read logs, not profiles.

Counts

  • New turns and tool calls. You actually prompted the model.
  • Transcript appends. Claude Code did work, not just exist.
  • Composer writes. Cursor produced code, not wallpaper.
  • Every machine you own. Minutes follow your account, not a laptop.
Track

See exactly where your AI hours went.

Open the dashboard and know, in one screen, which tool you actually leaned on this week.

Per-tool minutes

Find out whether you're a Cursor person or you just say you are.

Daily and weekly totals

Watch the week fill up, or watch it stay empty. Both are useful.

One identity, every machine

Work laptop, home desktop, that server you SSH into. Same streak.

Nudge

Get called out before your streak dies.

You don't need another dashboard you forget to open. You need something that interrupts you at 9pm.

Streak dies in 3 hours

12 minutes today. You know what you did. Streak: 47.

OS notification · tone: tough

Mute the OS, we follow you into the editor

Statuslines for Claude Code and Codex, plus a Cursor status-bar extension.

ShipOrShame · 12m today · streak 47 at risk

Decide how hard we push

Choose gentle, tough, or feral. Set quiet hours, cap the frequency, or turn nudges off and lose the streak in peace.

Share

Post the proof in one click.

Every surface is built to be screenshotted: big number, your handle, real minutes. Nothing here is opt-out — it stays private until you say otherwise.

Share card

Download a 1200×630 PNG of your streak and drop it straight into a post.

README badge

Put a live streak badge on your GitHub profile. It updates itself.

Public profile

Send one link that shows your streak, your week, and your tools.

Built for

Built for people who say they're AI-native.

If more than one of these lands, you're the customer.

  • You have more AI CLIs than hobbies. Prove which ones you actually open.
  • You posted "agents ate my job." Back it up with a number.
  • Your chat history is a novel. Your git log still says wip.
  • You want a contribution graph for using the models, not for editing README.md.
  • You'd screenshot a 47-day streak. That's the whole product.
  • You'll set the tone to feral. Gentle was never going to work on you.
How it works

Start in three steps.

Nothing syncs until you pair a device to an account. Streaks follow you, not the laptop you'll replace next year.

01

Create your account

Magic link or X, about fifteen seconds. Claim your handle — the board, card, and badge all hang off it.

02

Run the agent

Run shiporshame doctor to see which tools we found, then shiporshame serve to watch logs in the background.

03

Pair and get ranked

Paste a pairing code from settings. Hit fifteen real minutes today and the streak starts counting.

Install

Install once. Forget it's running.

One binary, no Electron. It reads known log paths only — it never walks your home directory.

go install origin.cursor.com/silverarkmedia/ShipOrShame/apps/agent@latest

Sign in on the site first, then pair the device from settings. After that it runs in the background and you can stop thinking about it.

FAQ

Answers before you ask.

Do you upload my prompts?

No. Aggregates only: tool, session timestamps, duration, event counts, and an optional hashed project id. Never prompts, completions, file contents, diffs, secrets, API keys, or raw transcripts.

Do I have to be on the leaderboard?

No. It's opt-in and off by default. Your private stats still work. The board, public profile, share card, and README badge only appear once you turn them on.

What counts as a qualifying day?

Fifteen minutes of real sessions — not focus time. Miss it and your streak is at risk. Recovery is thirty minutes the next day, and you earn a freeze every seven days.

Can I cheat the board?

Not usefully. Sessions are duration-capped, need real event counts, and you can't self-report minutes. It's an opt-in streak board, not a bank.

Is this affiliated with Cursor, Anthropic, or OpenAI?

No. ShipOrShame is unofficial. It reads local files you already have, the same way other log-based tools in this ecosystem do.
